International Foundation Year at the University of Debrecen

The IFY is a great way to improve your academic skills and English language proficiency before starting your undergraduate studies in Hungary. The program also provides you with the opportunity to acclimate to Hungarian culture and make new friends from all over the world.

The IFY at the University of Debrecen is a 10-month program designed to prepare international students for undergraduate studies in engineering, IT, or business. The program includes courses in basic science subjects (math, biology, physics, chemistry), IT skills, English language, and Hungarian language.

Students who successfully complete the IFY with an average of 4.0 are guaranteed admission to any of the University of Debrecen's engineering, IT, or business programs. Other students may be admitted to these programs based on their performance on the IFY entrance examination.
