Overview

In order to train highly qualified, generalist doctors and specialists in preventive medicine and public health, the Debrecen University provided a formal program of doctoral education integrated into the fourth cycle of medical studies. The aim of this program is to equip students with the knowledge required for carrying out scientific research in the fields of preventive medicine and public health. Open the door to new research opportunities internationally and nationally with multiple research fields in strong collaboration with nationally recognized research centers. Debrecen is a growing university with more than 100 active projects ranging from fundamental research to real world solutions, awarded by European Union funding programs. The PhD program is offered to those who are willing to be involved in public health research. Accepting applications to both full-time and part-time doctoral programs from prospective students around the world. Applicants for the full–time program must hold a university degree, have a solid background in their chosen subject area as well as an aptitude for and commitment to research.
