Overview

The English and American Institute is welcoming graduates around the globe to continue their studies in one of these PhD programs. Doctoral candidates are selected on the basis of academic performance and general professional intelligence.

You can choose from five research areas upon which to focus your studies: British studies, North American studies, Australian and New Zealand studies, literary studies or history.

The cohort based teaching method followed in this doctoral program is designed to produce students who can conduct independent research as well as contributing to new knowledge within their fields of study. The program also offers a high level of support and supervision during the period of writing a dissertation.
