Overview

Midwives play an important role in supporting families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for each family. Midwives provide care and support throughout pregnancy, assist with deliveries, and care for the mother and baby during postpartum.

Syllabus

• The first year of the midwifery program is focused on basic health sciences subjects, such as anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Students also take courses in public health and epidemiology.
• In the second year, midwifery-specific theoretical and practical subjects are introduced, along with clinical practices.
• The fourth year focuses on field practices and thesis work.
• After successfully completing the final examination and defending their thesis, students are awarded a BSc in Midwifery.
