John von Neumann University was founded in 2016 after the merger of three other institutions, and it has grown to be one of the biggest colleges in Hungary's south. The Engineering College of Kecskemét, its formal forerunner, was established in 1964.
The University is situated 40 minutes by car from Budapest in the quaint village of Kecskemét.
