Hevesy György PhD School of Chemistry

The Hevesy György PhD School of Chemistry at Eotvos Lorand University is a unique and comprehensive program that provides students with advanced research training in a variety of chemistry disciplines. Focusing on research from the start, this doctoral program provides students with the opportunity to work closely with project leaders in the laboratory and gain experience in topics such as inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, theoretical chemistry, organic and biochemistry, electrochemistry, structural chemistry, and polymer chemistry. Students will take eight courses during the first two years of the program followed by an exam; they will then move onto working on their chosen research topic and reporting their progress at annual conferences organized by the School. Upon completion of the program, students will be well-prepared for careers in academia or industry where they can make meaningful contributions towards advancing our understanding of chemistry and its impact on society.
