Overview

This degree allows students to acquire knowledge that enables them to create, introduce, operate, service, develop and implement software-oriented IT devices and systems on their own or as members of a team. They learn about the theory and practice of designing, analyzing and applying algorithms, using the most important computational paradigms. They also study software development methodologies and technologies. Students will be taught how to model the structure of data, and design and create databases. They will learn how to use SQL, and will have the opportunity to study artificial intelligence, logical programming, using divided systems, and web developing. Both theoretical and practical knowledge acquired by students will pave the way for them to obtain masters degree. As for those preferred working after graduation will variety of different platforms to develop and operate such as mobile, desktop, server web and multimedia applications and IT systems.

Career prospect

Computer Science BSc graduates can find positions as junior software developers at software development companies where C, C++, Java, JavaScript, C#, .NET, PHP, Python, SQL, etc. are required. In some years, after gaining practical experience they can become senior software developers, or they can specialize in different fields such as mobile development, databases, IT system programming, graphics development, game programming, etc. In the long run they can be promoted to management positions provided they are suitable for such positions and they take part in post-graduate trainings.
