Admission Requirements for the Physiotherapy Program

• Applicants must have completed high school or possess an equivalent education level.
• Applicants should be at least 18 years old by December 31 of the application year, with no maximum age limit.
• Applications are accepted from graduates of accredited secondary schools or higher education institutions.
• Students who failed Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or English Language in their final high school year are ineligible for application.
• Final-year students without a School Leaving Certificate may apply and take the entrance examination, provided they submit proof of current enrollment.

Entrance Examination

• All applicants must participate in an entrance examination.
• For those applying solely to the Physiotherapy Program, the examination focuses only on assessing English language proficiency.
• Applicants applying to additional programs such as General Medicine, Dental Medicine, or Pharmacy must complete the standard entrance examination.
• Applicants may take a maximum of two examinations during a single application period, if permitted by the Faculty.

Exemptions from Entrance Examination

• Applicants holding certain qualifications may be exempt from the entrance examination, potentially requiring a motivational interview:
• GCE A2 Levels: Must achieve a grade of B in three natural science subjects and English language; predicted grades may be considered for conditional acceptance.
• IB Diploma: Minimum grade of 4 required in two natural science subjects and English language; predicted grades from the final year may be used for conditional acceptance.
• BSc Degree: An Upper second class Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant fields, if studies were conducted in English.
• Qualifying documents must be submitted in English. If official transcripts are not available, certified translations alongside verified copies of originals are acceptable.

Submission of Documents

• Verified copies (not originals) of entry qualifications must be sent directly by postal mail after acceptance into the program.

Language Requirements

• English language competence will be evaluated as part of the entrance examination.

Additional Requirements

• Applicants must provide at least one reference.
• A motivational letter tailored for each program of interest must accompany the application.

Transfer Applicants

• Students transferring from other accredited universities where they have pursued physiotherapy studies in English may apply directly without sitting for an entrance examination.
• Transfer eligibility requires that previous studies align closely with the curriculum; at least 75% of subjects must match.
• Transfer students are expected to complete a minimum of one third of their physiotherapy studies at the institution where they are applying.
• Evaluation examinations for certain subjects may be required, and specific details regarding examination dates and registration will be shared after the application documents are submitted.
