The Geography MSc program is designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and skills in landscape and environmental management, along with regional and urban planning. This program emphasizes an understanding of the spatial dimensions of environmental and social processes, enabling students to create research-informed solutions and effectively communicate their findings.
With a focus on sustainable development, students learn to strategize and manage both natural and human environments while influencing policy-making. The curriculum aims to meet the diverse needs of employers in local and regional administrations as well as management and planning authorities, including those in environmental protection and urban development.
The program features a multidisciplinary approach that integrates geosciences, informatics, social sciences, and planning. Core courses include geographical research methods, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, modeling and simulation, project management, regional policy, political and social geography, landscape planning, and environmental risk assessment.
