The Doctoral School of Philosophy at the University of Szeged is rooted in a long-standing tradition of philosophical research, emphasizing the evolution of Continental philosophy. The program encompasses an exploration of philosophical thought from the ancient Greeks through the Middle Ages and Early Modernity, as well as comprehensive studies in German Idealism and 20th-century philosophical movements. Key areas of focus include hermeneutics, phenomenology, existentialism, applied philosophy, and pragmatism.
