This program is designed to cultivate skilled computer scientists equipped with a strong theoretical foundation that supports long-term professional growth. Graduates are trained to independently create, develop, implement, and service information technology (IT) systems while also working collaboratively in team settings. The curriculum emphasizes the development of modeling skills necessary for tackling complex IT challenges across various fields.
Key academic topics include essential mathematical and fundamental computer science principles, with mandatory courses totaling 23 credits in mathematics and 24 credits in core computer science areas. Additionally, students can choose from elective core studies in mathematics and computer science (13 credits), elective computer science studies (24 credits), and gain practical experience through a project-oriented internship (240 hours) at an IT company or research laboratory. The program culminates in a thesis project, accounting for 30 credits, which allows students to engage deeply with a specific area of interest within the field.
