The University of Szeged (SZTE) is one of Hungary’s most prestigious and historically rich institutions, with roots dating back to 1581. Its modern foundation began in 1872 as the University of Kolozsvár, later relocating to Szeged in 1921. Over the decades, SZTE has evolved into a dynamic, research-driven university with a strong commitment to scientific innovation, academic freedom, and international collaboration.

The university comprises 12 faculties, offering a wide range of academic programs across various levels and disciplines.
