Classical Singing BA

The course helps students prepare for their role as a teacher. Its goal is to map out this task, increase self-awareness, understand and interiorize this role, and initiate taking on this task.

Overview

The backbone of the course is the processing of students' views on the subject of education, which should be replaced by a well-established professional knowledge of the role of the teacher. Students should learn that motivation, evaluation, the environment, the relationship with parents, the planning of the pedagogical process, and the adaptive change of all these in the real situation, are essential tools for the role of a music teacher.

Syllabus

• 1st semester: Chamber Music (Contemporary Music Practice), Voice Health Studies, Folk Music.
• 2nd semester: Practice with Répétiteur, Foreign Language for Singers, Repertoire Studies.
• 3rd semester: Professional Methodology, Hungarian and Universal Music History, Solfeggio.
• 4th semester: Music Theory, Piano, Choir / Orchestra.
• 5th semester: Social Psychology, Teaching Profession, Ethics.
• 6th semester: Voice Part Rehearsal, Diploma Concert.
