Classical Music Performance (Guitar) BA

The goal of our BA programs in the field of classical music is to train professionals who shall be able to enrich and spread Hungarian and European music traditions via their performance as musicians.

Overview

With the help of both the practical and theoretical knowledge acquired through the program student shall possess refined taste as well as technical knowledge in music. All those awarded a BA degree shall be ready and able to serve in orchestras, choirs, and chamber ensembles alike. They shall be able to become genuine actors in the culture sector in institutions engaged in music.

Syllabus

• 1st semester: Chamber Music (Contemporary Music Practice), Main Subject – Performance Methodology, Folk Music.
• 2nd semester: Concert Attendance, Continuo, Rhythm Practice.
• 3rd semester: Improvisation, Hungarian and Universal Music History, Solfeggio.
• 4th semester: Music Theory, Piano, Choir / Orchestra.
• 5th semester: Orchestral Part Rehearsal, Ethics, Music Aesthetics.
• 6th semester: Orchestral Part Study, Sight Reading, Diploma Concert.
