Overview
In the Ceramic Design courses students are introduced to a wide range of silicate materials from classical materials of ceramic design up to the concrete. Various types of forming methods from handcrafting to design and spacious studio places together with academic-level personal tutoring provide the students the opportunity of finding their own artistic way.
Syllabus
- 1st semester: Contemporary Culture, Ceramic Techniques, Spatial Representation.
- 2nd semester: Cultural Anthropology, Contemporary Silicate Arts, Technical image.
- 3rd semester: Industrial Product Design, Studio Ceramics, Silicate Sculpture.
- 4th semester: Raku Firing, 3D Scenery, History of Design.
Required Documents
- To apply to this program, you must have a BA degree in ceramics design or in a related field, such as sculpting for example, or some other field of applied arts or fine arts.
- If the applicant does not have a language proficiency certificate, but on the basis of the oral entrance examination their language proficiency is sufficient to complete the relevant program, the entrance examination committee may waive this criterion.
- Portfolio, with a minimum of 10 works, made in the past 2-3 years.
