The goal of the MSC in Regional and Environmental Economic Studies at Széchenyi István University is to prepare professionals for roles in urban, regional, and environmental economics, planning, and policy in both public and private sectors. It equips students with advanced theoretical and practical skills to analyze economic, social, and ecological processes at local and regional levels. Special emphasis is placed on future trends, including the importance of cities, autonomous vehicles, innovative urban management practices, and new business models, and their implications for spatial and environmental sustainability. Students engage in theoretical and applied research projects to enhance their knowledge and build international connections.
Language Requirements:
● TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 / oral examination.
● TOEFL IBT score of 66 or equivalent to Hungarian B2 (Bachelor’s) and C1 (Master’s).
● Online interview if no standardized English exam.
● Enroll in a preparatory language program if requirements are unmet.
● Automatic admission to selected Bachelor's program after
● completing language course and final exam, if no faculty reservations.
