Mathematics MSc

The Master of Science in Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University offers students the opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge in a variety of areas in mathematics, including algebra, number theory, real and complex analysis, topology, geometry, probability theory and statistics, discrete mathematics, bioinformatics and theoretical computer science. This program is designed for students who have at least a BSc degree in mathematics or a related field such as physics, computer science or engineering. Students will also be able to experience application-oriented courses that present state-of-the-art issues of the given area such as financial mathematics and complex systems. Upon completion of this two year program graduates will be well-equipped with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers within research or industry while gaining valuable experience in problem solving and critical thinking.
