Instruction of English as a Foreign Language MA

The Master of Arts in Instruction of English as a Foreign Language at Eotvos Lorand University is a full-time, two-year program designed to prepare professionals for a successful career in the field. This program includes three main components: on-campus seminars and lectures covering relevant subject areas such as phonetics, linguistics, second language acquisition, and teaching methodology; supervised hands-on teaching practice (50 hours) during which participants will have the chance to work with real learners of English; and a research-based dissertation or project-based work to be submitted within two years after graduation. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to become fully qualified professionals in their field. Graduates of this program will be well positioned to pursue careers as ESL teachers, curriculum developers, language consultants, or even pursue further studies leading towards advanced degrees such as Doctoral programs.
