Earth Sciences Ph.D

The Doctoral School of Earth Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) provides a comprehensive program of study and research, giving students an in-depth understanding of the many different fields within Earth Sciences. This program allows students to pursue research in physical geography, geomorphology, environmental and landscape geography, meteorology, geology and geophysics, cartography and geoinformatics. The coursework is comprised of theoretical courses combined with laboratory works and field studies, while also providing opportunities for publications or PhD thesis writing. With a strong focus on interdisciplinary research projects and collaborations with renowned researchers from all over the world, this program offers students the chance to make meaningful contributions towards global advances in Earth Sciences.
