Pre-High School Year (pre – 9)

Avicenna International School offers a Pre-High School Year (Pre-9) for Hungarian and international students aiming to join the high school program. Applicants with 8 years of prior studies can apply from any educational system. The Admission Department evaluates credentials and conducts the Avicenna Placement Test (APT). Pre-High School provides intensive preparation in English, Hungarian, mathematics, and foundational sciences.

The high school program follows a 1 plus 4 structure, with Pre-High School as the initial year, focusing on English, Hungarian, mathematics, and core sciences. Students with strong language and science backgrounds can proceed directly to Grade 9. The curriculum encompasses subjects like Informatics, Biology, and Physical Education.

Enrollment in Avicenna International College's high school program requires 8 years of schooling in Hungary or internationally. In some cases, students with 7 years of records might be considered. International students with relevant backgrounds may skip Pre-High School and directly join Grade 9.
