Program Description
The study program for the full-time training offers a complete education in physics, with special directions, particularly in Informatics in physics and Applied physics.
Overview
The curriculum is organized into modules covering introductory courses to natural sciences and common core courses for all physics students (basic courses in mathematics, physics, and informatics). The courses related to the specialization in Applied Physics cover advanced topics in experimental and theoretical physics as well as the necessary courses in mathematics and informatics.
Syllabus
- 1st semester: Computer Technology, Linear Algebra, Introductory Mechanics Lecture, Mathematical Methods in Physics.
- 2nd semester: Calculus, Thermodynamics, Waves and Optics, Computer Programming.
- 3rd semester: Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics, Metrology, CAD Laboratory.
- 4th semester: Classical Mechanics, Physics and Electronics, Numerical Methods, Programming in MATLAB.
- 5th semester: Electronics, Electrodynamics, Discrete Mathematics, Astrophysics.
- 6th semester: Terahertz Spectroscopy, Quantum Mechanics, Modern Optics, Optical Measurement Methods.
Required Documents
- Certified and translated (if originals are not in English) copies of school transcripts showing satisfactory completion of senior high school.
- Europass CV in English
- Motivation letter (introduction plus field of interest, etc.) in 3000 to 3500 characters.
- Copy of valid passport or national ID
- A medical certificate, vaccination card (showing that you are immunized against HEP B), and HIV test
- The payment receipt of the application fee
- Official copy of the language exam certificate
- Language skills: B2 level is a minimum requirement, which is equivalent to an intermediate command of English. (e.g.ELTS minimum 5.5; or TOEFL minimum 66 scores).
